I was Al's classmate at Klamath Union High School. We graduated in 1958 and I remember him well. Sat in front of me in Home Room. I am the keeper of our
Memory Book and found him on our "lost" list. Sad to find that he has left us already. Our condolences to the family....

Marita, Dixie, Robin and Sonny - What sadness filled our hearts as we read of Al's passing in your Christmas letter. We all go back a long way - to our Bend days - 48 years - how can it be?. Marita, you and Al were wonderful young married role models for us. Our jobs had you working with Paul and me working with Al so you both were always there for us as we started our married life together. What fun it was to know Dixie and Robin and then Sonny a bit later when they were all munchkins. We're embarrassed and sad that we haven't made more of an effort to stay in touch even though we've lived in the same state, and now the same town for the last 11 years, What can I say? Life happens and it all gets away from us. Please accept our condolences on Al's passing. Let's try to get together sometime soon.

To the Noyes family,
We are very sad to learn of Al's passing.
Some of my earliest memories are of playing with cousins at Grandma and Grandpa's house. It was always fun when the Noyes family was there with us! I am grateful for those times. Al will be missed.
With Much Love,
Julie, Mark, Tyler, Kyra, and Kyle

To Marita and family, may God Bless you and comfort you and strengthen you beyond your expectations. You have so many great memories of your husband and Daddy to help you through your sorrow; your loss is everybody's loss. What a storied life Al lived. Just reading Al's obituary was to experience a biographical history of the man that no one in our family could have imagined. And this is sadly regrettable. We have lived our entire life far away from the Noyes family. Years ago we met up with the Noyes' and Shrocks' clan at a family reunion in Black Canyon Park, Oregon. Al was with the forestry service. We drove up to Oregon from California. Most every one at Black Canyon had arrived before us. Camper's-tents, motor homes and camp trailer's were arranged in a bivouac of orderly chaos. We, four children and two adults arrived at the campground with nothing more than the clothes on our backs a new four door sedan to shelter in. Little did we know that ranger Al Noyes had our digs erected in advance. It was beginning to get dark, shortly after we parked and began meeting relatives we hadn't seen in years, and many we didn't know at all. Al easily found us in the crowd, came up to me, reached out his hand, pointed at a twelve by twelve olive drab army tent and said, 'this is yours!' If you need anything just holler." Inside there was a folding table already set up. Folding chairs, blankets and cots. There are deeds done and words spoken that a person never forgets; and those words came from a relative we had never-ever met; 'this is yours. If you need anything just holler.' Thanks Al. We have all missed out on so much by not getting to know you better. RIP. Our Dear Marita: Try to imagine what your Al is experiencing today as he has taken residence in Heaven. Judy will get to see the look on his face when he sees Jesus face-to-face the first time. Try to let your focus be his gain instead of your loss.
I will always love you and appreciate having you and Al in our lives.

We send you all of our love and blessings. It was always great to see Al walk into the barbershop with the big smile on his face. He never let his pain show. Your whole family feels like a part of our family. It's not going to be the same in this world without him. I know someday we will see him again! God bless all of you and if there's anything we can do please let us know.

It is with great sadness that I learned of Al's passing. One of the all-time "good guys"! I had some great laughs with Al at the family reunion over the years and we really missed him at the last one. We have been praying for his recovery, but it appears the the Good Lord had a new body waiting for Al in Heaven. I tip my ball cap to this veteran of our country and a job well done. Blessings to Murita and family during this hard time. I am sure glad that I got to know this good man.
