Angelita Vela

Angelita Vela of Nampa, Idaho was born in Midland, Texas on December 19, 1952. She passed away on May 20, 2015 in Boise, Idaho.
Angelita is survived by her Mother Jaunita Vela and 5 siblings; her children Lisa Menchaca & Devan Peck, Joe & Rosalinda Menchaca, Claudia & Joel Ortivez, Angelita & Joe Lopez, Enedina & Jose Molina, Clemente & Cistina Mata, Anacleto Mata; 28 grandchildren & 22 great grandchildren.

Of all her accomplishments, Angelita’s greatest achievements have been in the lives of her family and friends. She had a unique gift to recognize and appreciate the talents in others and to make them feel loved and lifted by her presence. Her creative mind, kind heart and brilliant smile allowed her to make everything from her charitiy activities to a simple story told to the grandchildren sparkle. Her generous heart filled her home with love, fun, family and friends, including an attitude that there was always room for one more. She leaves with all of her children and grandchildren the knowledge that they were truly loved and they know that she loved the Lord. Our mother taught us to be hard workers and never give up on what we want.

You were everything to us; a mother and father and for that we cherish your love. Mom you will be deeply missed. There will never be a day that you won't cross our minds and our hearts.

She was truly one of the noble and great ones and we are honored to have been given the gift of being her children.
A recitation of the Rosary will be held at 7:00 P.M. on Thursday, May 28, 2015 at the Nampa Funeral Home Yraguen Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 A.M. Friday, May 29, 2015 at the St. Paul’s Catholic Church, Nampa. Burial will follow in the Kohlerlawn Cemetery, Nampa. An online guest book is available at www.nampafuneralhome.com
