Dear family of Barbara; on behalf of the VA Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, we extend our thoughts and prayers to you during a difficult time. Barb was always one to 'get it done' and was willing to serve the veterans and make sure they got what was needed. We so appreciated working with her. Mick, our heart goes out to you. What a loss. Count the blessing of those 52 years you spent together. She was a saint to put up with you. Actually, when you really love someone, sainthood comes easy. I know you really loved Barbara and she loved you. You will be in our prayers, that God will help you will find a way through this very difficult time.

I have always admired the strength, grace, and poise of my dear Aunt Barbara. She was always the caregiver for friends and family providing a calm presence which was such a comfort. I so wish you were here, Aunt Barbara, to give us courage with the grief the family is facing today. I’m thankful that you’re my Aunt, but especially thankful to have you as my “Sister in the Lord.” Yep, you will have to put up with me for all Eternity. I love you!
