Betty Christene Anderson entered heaven surrounded by her children on March 12, 2016 at the age of 91 in Nampa, Idaho.  Betty was greeted in heaven by her husband, Gerald Ellis Anderson, parents William and Eldene Pascoe Jr. and sister Eudora Strom.

Betty is lovingly remembered by daughter Patty Fitzpatrick (Brian) Tacoma, WA and son Gerald Anderson, Nampa.  Sisters Vivian Sturdivan, Nampa and Ruth Smith Portland, OR.  Betty’s grandchildren Shannon Shepherd (Kevin) Kirkland, WA, Kori Fitzpatrick, Federal Way, WA, Gaibrealle Anderson (Jack Jones), North Bend, WA, & Erin Price (Tom) Redmond, WA..  Great-grandchildren who brought so much joy to her life, Riley & Sidney Shepherd, Owen, Rory & Aiden Price, Brooklyn Jones, many family members and wonderful dear friends.

Betty and Ellis were high school sweethearts and married in the fall of 1942 after their graduation. When Ellis returned from WWII, they moved to Portland, Oregon where Betty began her long & rewarding nursing career while raising their young children. The Union Pacific Railroad moved them to Pocatello and Glenns Ferry before settling in Nampa.  Betty enjoyed the challenge and years of assisting physicians in surgery at Mercy Hospital and later as a surgical nurse exclusively for Drs. Peter Jensen and John Ross.  Thru the years Betty met lifelong friends enjoying membership in two fraternal organizations, Eastern Stars, Daughters of The Nile, Iras Temple No. 40 and Nampa Women’s Century Club.

Betty and Ellis retired in 1985 dividing their retirement years between Nampa and their beautiful mountain log home in Featherville, ID. where they enjoyed a rich social life in the beauty of the Trinity and Soldier mountains, with abundant winter snow. They loved the outdoors spent with family & friends boating, snowmobiling, fishing and hunting.
Betty is lovingly remembered for being perfectly styled and always accessorized. She was intrigued by space, very patriotic, had a keen interest in learning, loved traveling the world, singing & reciting poetry to family, and enjoyed the beauty of her rose garden. She was a wonderful, loving and thoughtful Wife, Mother, Grandmother & Great Grandmother who deeply loved her family, will be greatly missed and will remain in our hearts forever.
