Doyle Dwayne Caldwell

Doyle Dwayne Caldwell, avid outdoorsman, loving husband, dad and friend, went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on October 17, 2016 surrounded by his devoted family. Doyle was born on September 4, 1942 in Caldwell, Idaho to Ralph D. and Eddith Caldwell. He was raised in Nampa, Idaho and graduated from Nampa High School in 1961 and later attended both the University of Idaho and Boise State University. Doyle loved to learn and completed a myriad of courses to include a passion for real estate where he successfully obtained his realtors license. Doyle worked for the Nampa Highway District #1 from the age of 19 until his retirement in 2008 as the Bridge Foreman after 45 years of service.

He married Jackie McKee in January of 1964 and the fruit of that union were his 2 sons, Barry and Todd Caldwell. Doyle actively raised his sons and instilled in his boys the same passion for the outdoors, hunting and fishing that he cherished.

On October 8, 1994 he married the love of his life Vickie Martin and gained 3 wonderful daughters, Jane, Jessica, and Jami. His love of the outdoors was only overshadowed by his tremendous love for his family and friends.

Doyle is preceded in death by his parents Ralph and Eddith Caldwell and his elder brother Arthur.

He is survived by his devoted and loving wife Vickie, his sons Barry and Todd and their wives, children and grand children, daughters Jane, Jessica, and Jami and their husbands, children and grand children.

Doyle’s passing has left a void in the lives of all whom ever knew him.

A funeral service to honor and celebrate his life will be held at 11:00 A.M. Friday, October 21, 2016 at the Nampa Funeral Home, Yraguen Chapel. Burial will follow in the Canyon Hill Cemetery, Caldwell. An online guest book is available at www.nampafuneralhome.com
