George & Betty, truly there was not one without the other. You were always welcome and treated with graciousness in their home. At George's request I have spent some times under the hood of the old red Chevy and other vehicles of theirs.
Betty's sharp tongued sense of humor earned her the title at our house of "The sweetest cranky old woman you'd ever want to know 😁." Every time I have a cup of coffee I think of George. He taught me that a few grains of salt will take the bitter out of your coffee. Try it, it works!
Thank you George and Betty for loving us and being Christ like examples for the rest of us.

We will always remember our dear friends George and Betty. George and I started the ROMEO ( Retired Old Men Eating Out) coffee group for the sole purpose of enjoying each other’s company. We will miss them.

Wow! What a wonderful example of a true Christian. He taught it and lived it. He was someone we looked up to and admired. I, Jim, looked forward to hearing him teach the Sunday Bible studies and have tried to pattern my teaching after his. We thought of this couple often and would sometimes chat over the phone with him. I, Karen, enjoyed hearing my parents, Leonard and Dorothy Gallivan, tell stories across the years of serving the Lord with George and Betty. Our hearts pour out love and prayers for the family.

I have many fond memories of George and Betty during our years at Bethel Church. I enjoyed hearing him sing specials and give his testimony at the same time, something he loved doing. And how he loved to linger and "visit" others after church and how he humored Betty for trying to hurry him up so they could get home. And I loved Betty's great sense of humor as well! We had lots of laughs and fun! Looking forward to joining them in heaven some day!
