A Funeral Service to honor and celebrate Tony’s life will be held at 11 AM on Friday, July 24, 2015 at the Lakeview Bible Church, 1010 W. Greenhurst Rd. in Nampa. Burial will follow at the Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Caldwell. Services are under the direction of the Nampa Funeral Home, Yraguen Chapel, 415 12th Ave. So. – 442-8171.             Tony was born in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada on July 30, 1943.  He moved with his parents, Dr. R. George and Lenora (Trix) Wolff, and younger sister Penny, to Homedale, ID when he was 8 years old.  His father was the only medical doctor in Homedale for 15 years.  Times were different then, and Tony and Penny learned to drive a car while transporting their father to attend to his house calls.

Tony graduated from Homedale High School in 1961 and attended the University of Idaho where he met his future wife, Katherine. They were married on June 18, 1965 after their graduation. They spent their next four years in Missouri where Tony attended dental school at Washington University, St. Louis where he became a naturalized American citizen so he could practice in Idaho.  Kathy taught first and second grade.  After graduation, they moved to Alameda, California, where Tony served in the Public Health Service at the Coast Guard base at Government Island from 1969-1971.  Their first child, David, was born there.

In January, 1972, Tony became Dr. Charles Hanson’s associate, and practiced dentistry in Nampa, ID until retiring in 2003.   He loved his patients, and was most appreciative of his fine staff and caring front office assistants, dental assistants and hygienists.  Two more children, Matthew and Allison, were born to their family.  They loved living in Nampa and were thankful for the community and for such a great place to raise a family.

Tony served in various leadership positions in the community and in the dental profession.  He was Cub-Master of pack #116, Indian Guides leader, President of the Kiwanis Club, served on the school board at St. Paul’s, Vice-President of the Board of Directors at Broadmore Country Club, named “Boss of the Year” by the Credit Women’s Bureau, and a member of the College Church of the Nazarene where he loved singing in the choir and in the Living Christmas Tree.  He was President of the Southwest District Dental Society, President of the Idaho State Board of Trustees, President of the Board of Directors of the Delta Dental Plan, chairman of the Idaho State Peer Review Committee, head of the dental staff at Mercy Medical Center, a member of Doctors With a Heart, and a fellow of the International College of Dentists.

Tony loved his family and placed them first in his life.  He so enjoyed golfing and had many long-time golfing friends.  He and his children raised Suffolk sheep and showed them in 4-H competitions.

A church trip to Haiti in 1993, where he attended to the dental needs of many of the Haitian people, was very meaningful to him.

His family was devoted to him and offer praises to God for giving them such a fine, loving husband and father.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Katherine, his sister Penny, Aunts Gladys and Jean, his children David, Matthew, and Allison, six wonderful grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

The family expresses their heartfelt gratitude to the gentle, patient, and consistent care supplied by the caregivers and staff of Harrison’s Hope Hospice.

The family is also very thankful for the sensitive and specialized care from the caregivers and administration at the Streamside Facility in Nampa.
