Welcome to the memorial page for

Gwendolyn M. Pemble

July 25, 1929 ~ January 18, 2018 (age 88) 88 Years Old

Gwendolyn Mae Pemble, 88, of Nampa, Idaho, passed away at her home Thursday, January 18, 2018. Gwen was born July 25, 1929, in Chicago, Illinois, where she completed grammar school.  Some of Gwen’s fondest girlhood memories were made during her high school years at Olivet Nazarene Academy in Kankakee, Illinois.  She married Albert R. Pemble on May 21, 1949. Together they faithfully served for over 44 years in pastoral ministry to Nazarene churches in Wisconsin, Montana, Wyoming, Arizona, and most recently in Mountain Home, Idaho. The Pemble family spent three years as evangelists, preaching the Word and providing a music ministry. They traveled extensively throughout the United States.

Through the years, Gwen loved and prayed for each family member, for friends and for her church families. Her greatest desire was to see each of her children and grandchildren join in and respond to the call to follow Jesus. Gwen put others first, and her cheerful spirit inspired and encouraged those around her.  She is survived by her husband, Albert, her son Ed, his wife Joan and their sons Mark and Scott of Caldwell; her daughter Valerie and her husband Jay of Boise, and their children Ryan, Christine (Ben), Jenna (Ian), Julia and Jason; and her son Clifton and his wife Jacqueline of Overland Park, Kansas, and their children Connor (Emily), Tyler (Madeline), Daniel and Anna. Gwen was preceded in death by her father and her mother, and two grandsons.

There will be a Memorial Service for Gwen at the Bethel Church of the Nazarene, 3001 12th Ave. Rd. in Nampa on Friday, January 26, 2018 at 11 AM.

Contributions may be made in Gwen’s name to Mission Aviation Fellowship, 112 N. Pilatus Ln., Nampa, Idaho 83687 maf.org
