Helen L. Heath, 84, of Nampa, ID passed away February 3, 2018 at her home.
She was born in New Meadows, Idaho on March 23, 1933 to Ward and Hazel Branstetter; she was one of seven children. Helen moved to Nampa in 1951 where she met George Heath who she would later marry on February 7, 1953. Helen and George were married for 60 years until George passed away in 2013. They had 3 sons, Fredrick, Steven and Michael who were all born and raised in Nampa. Helen worked as a bookkeeper for local farmers and the Nampa Dental Clinic from which she retired in the early 80's.
Her hobbies included traveling with their R.V. group, bowling, baking, quilting, fishing, bead work, tole painting, and most of all gardening. For the past thirty years Helen spent countless hours at her beloved South Side United Methodist Church volunteering where ever she was needed. She also enjoyed working at the local election polling site. Helen's greatest joy in life along with George was spending time supporting and attending their children and grandchildren's life events.
Helen is survived by her 3 sons Michael of Nampa, Steve (Jodi) Boise, Frederick (Sherry) Caldwell; grandchildren Michael G., Eric, Timothy, Zachary, Lacie, Tyler, Regan, Devin; 3 Brothers William, Melvin and Don Branstetter, numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband George Heath, Grandson Shane Heath, Granddaughter Andrea Heath and 3 siblings.
A viewing will be held from 4 pm to 7 pm on Monday February 12, 2018 at the Nampa Funeral Home, Yraguen Chapel in Nampa. Funeral services will be held at 10 am Tuesday, February 13, 2018 at the South Side United Methodist Church in Nampa. Following the service the burial will be held at the Idaho State Veterans Cemetery in Boise ID at 2 pm.
