James Christopher “Jim” Boehme, 70, of Nampa passed away unexpectedly on November 29, 2017 of natural causes.
He was born on May 24, 1947 in Willmar, MN to Vincent and Catherine Boehme. He graduated from St. Mary's School in Bird Island, MN. Jim joined the Army and served his country in Vietnam. After his honorable discharge, he moved to Nampa, ID and began building houses with his brother Ray. Jim became a skilled carpenter and craftsman, doing masonry work for a few years, and worked for Hibbard Construction of Caldwell for over 20 years. He also built many projects for friends and family. Jim enjoyed hunting, fishing, and volunteering in his community with Habitat for Humanity, and at St. Paul's Catholic Church with the Knights of Columbus. Jim was a hardworking, humble, kind, and loving husband, father, grandpa, and friend to many.
Surviving is his wife, Marilyn; daughter Shelley Wallace (Greg); sons Shad Stevens and Brian Boehme (Sarah); sisters Barbara Laughlin (Bob) and Mary Swanson (Ron); brother Father Arnold Boehme in the Philippines; and brother-in-law Gary Muller (Rose). Jim also has five grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Preceding him in death were his parents and brothers Greg, Hank, and Ray Boehme.
A vigil service with recitation of the Rosary will be held on Wednesday, Dec. 6, 2017 at 7:00 pm at the Nampa Funeral Home, Yraguen Chapel. A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, Dec. 7, 2017 at 12:00 noon at St. Paul's Catholic Church, 510 W. Roosevelt, Nampa. A private burial will be in the Mount Calvary Cemetery, Nampa.
