Jon Gerald Bell

Jon Gerald Bell, 67 of Boise, Idaho passed away in his home on February 15, 2017 surrounded by people who loved and cared for him.

Jon was born on July 3, 1949 in Boise, Idaho to Gerald Ray Bell and Jeanne Hope Bell. Jon was in an accident at the age of 13 that left him with multiple health issues and physical limitations. This incident lead Jon to Aspire Human Services where staff immediately became very fond of him.

Jon loved life and always had a smile on his face. He was always welcoming to his new staff and people he would meet in the community. Despite his medical condition, Jon was always making jokes and helped his staff with activities, from cooking and cleaning to having his own job. Jon worked at Witco and retired in 2011.

Jon’s sense of humor was not to be unnoticed. He loved whiskey, women, Karaoke, and poker. One of his favorite places to go was the Buffalo Club in Boise. Jon had a love for music, from the oldies to symphonic orchestra. Jon enjoyed watching the news, listening to talk radio and reading the newspaper to keep up with current events. He had a passion for our country and was very proud to live in America.... going as far as to tell people he was a WWII Vet.

Jon is preceded in death by his parents Gerald and Jeanne Bell. He leaves behind many friends and caregivers in the Boise area who loved him and will deeply miss him. Services will be held at Nampa Funeral Home-415 12th Ave S, Nampa, ID 83651 on February 23, 2017 at 3:00 p.m.
