Lawrence L. "Larry" Schmitt, Jr.

Lawrence L. Schmitt, Jr., 82, CWO4 USN Retired was born on October 29, 1932 and joined the Lord on July 18, 2015.

Lawrence was preceded in death by his wife, Helen D. Schmitt, who passed away in March of 1991.

He is survived by his current wife, Catherine “Cat” M. Schmitt of Nampa, Idaho. He is also survived by his children, Carol Lee Scales (Brian), Lawrence L. Schmitt III (Brenda), Christopher Eugene Schmitt (Dani), Andrew Michael Schmitt (Lareen), Erich Karl Schmitt (Divina), Jeannie Marie Acamo and John Michael Shelton (Frances); 21 grandchildren, Nicole, Tristan, Brandon, Mathew, Miguela, Lito, Jim Boy, Bretzel, Christopher II, Kyle, Samantha, Aaron, David, Sean, Michelle, Erich Jr., Maria Sandya, Rebecca, Cassandra and Tori; and seven great grandchildren, Gabriel, Dominic, Isabel, Wynter, Abigale, Grayson and Kyran.

Recitation of the Rosary will be held at 7:00 P.M. Friday, July 24, 2015 at the Nampa Funeral Home, Yraguen Chapel, 415 12th Ave. So., Nampa. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 A.M. Saturday, July 25, 2015 at the St. Paul’s Catholic Church, 510 W. Roosevelt Ave., Nampa. An interment service with military honors by the United States Navy will be held at 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, July 28, 2015 at the Idaho State Veterans Cemetery, 10101 Horseshoe Bend Rd., Boise.
