May, you were always a calming force for me in the whirlwind of my slightly older cousin. As I type I can see your wink, crooked smile and nod of the head, the same gesture you'd often use, as if to say, "I understand. It's ok, nothing is that important, All is well." Did you know how much that meant to me? At my own mother's funeral you did that as I read a poem I'd written for her. It brought peace. It hit the same place it always did, always will, a special place in my heart reserved for you. There it will remain, a reminder in the chaos--nothing is that important, all is well--until I see you again! With much love & a heavy, but jubilant heart, Myrna

Dearest One.....oh how we will miss you. Aunt May was one of two of my mother's sisters. She was always arriving with gifts for me & five siblings. I know she inspired my sister, Barbara and myself to become teachers. I enjoyed a long teaching career (41 years) but not as long as hers!
A life . . . long and well lived. Love you Aunt May. Peace.

Mrs. Bunts was my high school teacher that set the achievement bar *just* out of reach to see what I would do. I remember on my senior year, my goal was to get an A in her literature class, and I told her that too! B+ all year long, but at the end, after extra efforts were made, my ending grade was a "B+/A-". I was livid. How does one accomplish such a grade?! When asked, she giggled a little, did a funny shrug of her shoulder, and said, "well, at least you got the in-between grade." She taught me to always strive bigger and better, and if that didn't work, try a different angle; and accomplish it all with Grace.
She showed her big heart for the Lord and caring for the class every day. She would always pray with me and the class for my grandfather dying of cancer. She also was kind when tested by classmates. She would call us "dear hearts", patiently ask of us what she wanted and would listen instead of exacting punishment. What an example to live up to, because we had some trying days.
Mrs. Bunts, I look forward to meeting you once again in Heaven, because we miss you already here on earth. Thank you for sharing her with us.

Mrs. Bunts will always remain one of my favorite teachers from GFA. I by far wasn't even close to being one of her best students, but I still held a great deal of respect for her. She and I shared a love of baseball which we talked about often. Two of my best memories are our baseball talks and how she prayed for my family and me when my dad passed away my senior year. She was a great lady. My deepest condolences for your loss.
