Raymond H. Spurlock

Raymond H Spurlock passed away gently in the arms of the one soul he loved most on this earth on July 9, 2017 of natural causes after a long battle with IPF at St Alphonsus in Nampa, Idaho. He was 74 years old.

Raymond was born in Ketchum, Ok on March 26, 1943 to Clyde P. and Ruby E. Spurlock shortly before their move to Wilder, Idaho where he lived the majority of his life. He attended both elementary and high school in Wilder, Id before joining the Navy as a Helicopter Jet Mechanic. With his honorable discharge he moved for a short period to Phoenix, Az where he met his wife Anne and quickly moved her back to Idaho. They were together for 49 years.

Raymond was a quiet and gentle man with a dry sence of humor.  He loved to play the occasional joke on those who were closest to him. He loved Idaho with it's hunting and fishing opportunities and would spend hours driving through the Owyhees just to share in their beauty and wild life. 

Raymond is survived by his wife Anne B, daughter Vicki Rae, and her life partner Scott Collings of Nampa, Id; his sister, Martha Jane Polite of Little Rock, Ak; his uncle Homer Howell and numerous nieces and nephews.

Raymond will be cremated in a private ceremony on July 12, 2017. A memorial will take place on July 23, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at Tuscany Subdivision Clubhouse, 3782 E. Firenze Way Meridian, ID 83642. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Raymond's life. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the American Lung Association.
