Rose Moore

Rose Moore was born on October 18, 1946 in Ontario, Oregon.  She graduated from high school in Waldport, Oregon.  While working as a dental assistant in Newburg, Oregon she met and married Charles Moore on April 30, 1971.  Rose and Charles have lived in Oregon, Washington, Canada, Alaska, and Idaho.  Rose was a diligent and faithful employee.  She worked as a dental assistant, a bank teller, and as a purchasing agent for the Sitka Community Hospital, which was her favorite job.  Rose retired on October 7, 2015 after working fifteen years as a teller for the D.L. Evans Bank in the Boise and Meridian branches.  While working at D.L. Evans Bank she received numerous honors and three Employee of the Year awards.

Rose loved people, and was loved by her fellow employees, her church families, her husband, children, grandchildren, and great- grandchildren.

Rose’s gift of cooking was a large part of her ministry to others.  She loved to make special breakfasts for the bank employees.  She cooked meals for the church, meals for the family, and special cheesecakes for everyone.  Just a few weeks ago, she baked numerous cheesecakes for a special church dinner, receiving a standing ovation for her efforts.

Rose loved living on a wooden boat in Alaska along with her husband.  She loved hunting, fishing, and motorcycle riding with her family.

Rose had a deep love for the Lord and for the church where she served faithfully.

Many lives have been effected by Rose’s sweet spirit and loving heart over the years.  She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. 

A memorial service to honor and celebrate her life will be held at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, April 18, 2017 at the Bowmont Community Church.
