Terry Roy Coleman, age 89 of Meridian Idaho died May 21, 2017.

Terry was born in Kearney, Nebraska on November 6, 1927 to Joseph and Lucille Coleman. 

Terry was raised in Ogden, Utah and joined the U.S. Navy in World War II.  During his active duty he as assigned to a sub-chaser with the 3rd fleet in the Pacific Ocean.  He was honorably discharged in 1946. Terry married his long time sweetheart, Jacquelene (Jackie) Higgins on August 26th 1946, in Kimberly, Idaho. 

Terry began his career as a heavy equipment operator with various road contractors.  He was often promoted to foreman or superintendent on different projects.  This occupation moved Jackie and their 3 children to many places in Idaho, Oregon, Nevada and Washington.  Terry was Superintendent for Wells Cargo Inc., and they resided in Soda Springs, Idaho. He supervised an open pit mining operation; with 325 men.

In 1978, they moved to Nampa, Idaho, where he was Superintendent for building the railroad grade, 2-rail track from Nampa to Kuna.  Terry and Jackie decided to make Nampa their home. He was employed with very important public agencies; including, City of Nampa Street Department, and Work Director for Nampa Highway District.   He also worked with the State of Idaho, as instructor in all aspects of road construction and road projects; for all cities and counties in the State of Idaho.  He retired in 2005 after working as a consultant for Koch Asphalt.

Terry and Jackie have three children; son Michael (Marilyn) Coleman of Meridian, Idaho; two daughters; Vicky (Earl) Grunden of Springfield, Missouri; Deanna (Dan) Jones of Soda Springs, Idaho.    He dearly loved his family and enjoyed spending time with them.  The grandchildren always loved to be with their Grandpa and Grandma.

He has 10 grandchildren, 2 step-grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren; two brothers, Jerry Coleman (Oregon) and Craig Coleman (Missouri). and many nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his wife Jackie Coleman; parents; two brothers; and two sisters.  His services will be private with graveside service at a later date in Lava Hot Springs, ID.
