Virgil was born June 26th, 1927 in Tobias, Nebraska. He was the second of seven children born to Henry and Ida Schwisow, and the family lived in the Tobias, and later the farmland of the Daykin area as Virgil grew up.
Virgil married his sweetheart, Joan Elizabeth Roesler in 1952. They moved to Nampa, Idaho when their firstborn, Wesley, was two years old. Virgil went to work as a carpenter/ handyman in the beautiful Nampa valley where Doyle Lynn, and Debra Joan, were born. Virgil was a farmer
and dairyman for the next 17 years. Then in 1974 he went to work for
Shaeffer Oil selling lubricants. During retirement, Virgil worked at the job that was most suited for his personality and love of people. He
became a greeter at Walmart, where he worked for five years. He enjoyed
talking to people and putting a smile on their faces. Children flocked
to him and loved him.  Virgil will be remembered by many as the friendly little man who brightened their day.  Virgil grew up in the Lutheran church and was a faithful and devoted servant of the Lord Jesus.
Among his many pastimes, Virgil was the groundskeeper at Lower Fairview
