Vi is survived by her husband, Wendell; 5 children; her brother, Howard; 16 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. Vi was preceded in death by her parents, all but one sibling, and a daughter, Marilyn.
Vi was a homemaker raising her six children through high school. Later she worked in health care- mostly at Mercy Medical Center. She was active in her church in the children's department, Vacation Bible school and world missions. She was involved in mission trips to Argentina, Guatemala, Puerto Rico, and Mexico.
Vi loved her husband and children dearly. She had a gift for sending cards, personal notes and poems. Gardening, cooking, and serving others was her passion, not to mention Mexican Train and puzzles. With Wendell she would read the Bible and pray each morning. During retirement she and Wendell traveled the United States in their RV for about seven years aiding Christian summer camps and schools with cleaning, organizing and construction projects.
