Bonnie (Yvonne) Cannon passed away June 18TH with her family by her side after a year- long battle with cancer. Born August 3rd, 1937 to Arthur and Myrtle Page in Dunbar, NE. At the age of 3 the family moved to Kennewick, WA. At a young age, she married Curtis Maupin and had 3 daughters. After their divorce, she raised her children on her own until she married Bruce Cannon (1970-1975), deciding to move the family to Wilder, ID. As a single mom for many years, she was a hard worker. Primarily, her career was in the hospitality industry, working for both Comfort & Shilo Inn Hotels. She worked for Ontario Dental Arts until her retirement at the age of 71.
She loved to crochet & knit, making many beautiful afghan’s for friends and family. Other hobbies included gardening, canning, and sewing. Her and life partner of almost 30 years, Ed Curry, particularly enjoyed fishing and hunting together. Later in life, she especially loved doting on her sweet pooch, Muffy.
She is survived by sister, Doris Young, two daughters, Debbie Risken, Lawrenceville, GA; Deana Maupin Byrd (Rich), of Nampa, Idaho; and seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Bonnie is preceded in death by her parents and middle daughter, Renee Johnson.
Our hearts are breaking and we will miss you forever.
A Graveside services will be held at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Caldwell, ID on 10:30 A.M. Saturday July 1, 2017. Arrangements are under the direction of the Nampa Funeral Chapel, Yraguen Chapel.
