Barbara Lee (Duerock) Stewart

Barbara Lee Stewart passed away on March 31st, 2024, peacefully in her home surrounded by family.  Barbara was born in Boise, Idaho on August 22nd, 1943, to Walter and Mable Duerock. She grew up in Boise, Idaho and was the first graduating class at Borah High School. She met her husband Larry Stewart in 1962 and married on June 8th, 1963, they were married for 60 years and raised 4 children in Nampa, Idaho, Brad, Staci, Tony & Matt. Her children were her pride and joy for many years along with her 6 grandchildren, Tanner, Savannah, Allie, Mia, Turner and Paisley. Barbara and Larry had a very successful accounting business in Nampa, Idaho where they worked together for many years. Once they retired, they enjoyed living in Mesa Arizona in the winter and Caldwell and McCall in the summers. Barbara loved to go to the casino’s and play slot machines when they traveled along with yard sales on the weekends, if there was a deal to be made, she was in the middle of it getting the best deal she could (and wasn’t afraid to walk away if she didn’t get the deal she wanted). She loved the fact she furnished 3 homes from yard sale treasures. If there was ever a child or animal that needed a home or just someone to listen to them, Barbara was that person, her kind and compassionate heart was always open to those in need. Barbara is survived by her husband Larry, her children Staci & Keith, Tony & Sonja, Matt & Kim, her sister- in- law Anita Stewart and 6 grandchildren. Barbara is preceded in death by her son Brad Stewart and her parents Walter & Mable Duerock. The family wished to express they’re thanks to the Keystone Hospice family, they went above and beyond to help Barbara and the family in this transition along with the Green Staff Home care givers they took such amazing care of Barbara in her last few days. In lieu of flowers you can donate to the West Valley Humane Society 5801 Graye Lane, Caldwell, Idaho. The family wishes to have a private burial on April 5th, 2024.
