David William Shenk

David William Shenk, 97 of Nampa, entered his heavenly home on April 17, 2024 at his residence in Caldwell.  He was born to Daniel & Nancy Shenk on October 10, 1926 in Cottage City, Maryland.  He married Harriett Shank on November 6, 1949 & they were married for 71 years.  He was a loving husband, father and grandfather.  He especially loved and cherished any time he was able to spend with his family, as well as his church family.

David is survived by children Myron Shenk (wife Sylvia), Joyce Jones (husband Neil), Donna Thompson (husband Dan), Carolyn Keen (husband Damon), and Pamela Shenk: 10 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren, 4 great-great grandchild, and sisters Elizabeth Brunk and Allice Nice (husband Daniel), and brother Maurice Shenk.  He was preceded in death by his wife Harriett, parents, brothers Paul and Donald, sisters Lois and Louretta, and granddaughter Jennifer

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 27th at the Nampa Funeral Home, Yraguen Chapel, 415 12th Ave. So. – 208-442-8171.  Burial will follow at Kohlerlawn Cemetery.  The family will greet loved ones and friends for a time of visitation on Friday, April 26th from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. at the Nampa Funeral Home.  An online guest book and the complete obituary may be found at www.nampafuneralhome.com.
