Denise Marscene Wesaw-McBride passed away on Friday, December 20, 2019 at the age of 52. She was born on October 12, 1967 to Tom Wesaw and Gaylene Isaac in Lander, Wyoming of the Eastern Shoshone Tribe on the Wind River Reservation. She grew up in Tulsa, Oklahoma, Thermopolis, Wyoming and Douglas, Wyoming. She met her first husband, Bruce Burr, whom she married during high school. After graduating they had two children together. She spent 29 years as hairdresser and loved her career, as it allowed her to personally connect with her clients and form lifelong relationships with them. Additionally, she held various odd jobs to keep her busy; one of which was at a hardware store. She especially enjoyed that job as it helped her learn to be handy, so she could help others.
In July of 2018, she moved to Kuna, Idaho to be near her children and grandchildren. She loved spending time with them, singing old country songs, cooking for them, and doting on them. She had a laugh that was contagious and will be carried on in her memory with her grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Markus Wesaw, Kevin Wesaw, and sister Amy Jo Wesaw. She is survived by her daughter Adrianne (Dustin) Ferdinand and Brent Burr. She has six grandchildren, Gauge and Kimber Ferdinand and Hailee, Kamryn, Owen and Carter Burr; Her ex husband Bruce Burr (Angie) as well as many aunts and uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews, and her sister in law and family.
She had a very giving spirit, always making herself available to help others and being willing to drop anything for her family and friends; making homemade chicken noodle soup and cinnamon rolls was one her favorite things to do for people when they were under the weather or had a birthday to celebrate. Traveling, card games, and camping with her family were activities that brought her so much joy. Denise also loved to bowl and was part of a bowling league for many years.
A service to celebrate her life will be held at the Nampa Funeral Home, Yraguen Chapel on Friday, December 27, 2019 at 2:00pm. An online guest book is available at www.nampafuneralhome.com
