Welcome to the memorial page for

Donna Welker

July 31, 1941 ~ October 24, 2017 (age 76) 76 Years Old

Donna Welker, 76, went to Heaven the morning of October 24, 2017, thirty-four years to the day after her father’s passing.  Donna was born in Nampa to James Alfred and Loretta Stewart on July 31, 1941.

Donna lived in Hawaii after graduating from Kuna High School and then moved back to Nampa. She loved the warmth and the beaches. In her lifetime she enjoyed owning her own businesses and loved what she did. She worked long and hard. Her vast knowledge of the true worth of things of this world will be missed. She valued the workmanship and the ways when things were crafted to last. Everything has a value and a place.

She loved her Saturday outings. Going junking, getting deals, and JB’s with her friend Nancy to finish the day. She loved her dear friendship with Janet and all the time they got to spend together at the store. She also loved coffee, lots of coffee!

Donna has touched many people’s hearts in her life. From her businesses to her friends, the people at Nampa Christian, her family, and all that have lovingly taken care of her with her health. They have been given a piece of Donna that will carry on forever. Donna is the strongest person anyone will meet with the warmest heart that will help you anytime. She will be missed by many, but we know we will see her again in Heaven.

The love of her life were her two grandsons, Zak and Parker.  She loved them so much and is so proud of them.  She taught them to stand strong and kick butt, and not worry about what other people think! She loved watching them kick in football from high school through college, and she is so proud of them. They love their grandma so much and have a bond so deep in their hearts that will go on forever. Grandma taught them to have fun and not to worry. They taught her that love is real.

She will be greatly missed by her daughter, son-in-law, and two grandsons. We had such a strong loving bond of being together, having fun, eating frozen yogurt, and watching all the football games together. There is an empty spot in our hearts. Our joy is knowing we will see you again in Heaven! We miss you so much! You have taught us so many things!

Thank you to all mom’s doctors and nurses who were also her friends and cared for mom in ways beyond their scope of duty. Mom taught them how to think outside of the box and they showed her love. Thank you to all at Aspen Rehab who became a family to mom and us, and loved her so much! Thank you to all at Encompass Home Health who encouraged mom, listened, and loved her.

Donna is survived by her daughter, Kim, her son-in-law Mike, her grandsons Zak and Parker, her brother Jim, and his wife Marcella, and her first husband Lonnie. She was preceded in death by her parents Alfred and Loretta and her second husband, Delmer.

The family suggests that donations be made to Nampa Christian Schools.

The family will greet family and family and friends at viewing at the Nampa Christian High School Heritage Room at 3:00 P.M. Sunday, October 29, 2017 followed by a celebration of life service at 4:00 in the Auditorium. Burial will be held at 12:00 P.M. Monday October 30, 2017 at the Meridian Cemetery. An online guestbook is available at www.nampafuneralhome.com.
