Dr. Ken Kalbfleisch, 77, a long time resident of Nampa Idaho, went to be with the Lord on June 28, 2017.
Ken was born June 10, 1940 in Filer, Idaho the eldest son of Lawrence and Golda Kalbfleisch. He was raised in Filer until he attended Northwest Nazarene College. During this time he met his wife to be, Glenda and they were married August 18, 1961. That fall, after completing his studies at NNC he went to Colorado State University where he graduated in 1965 with his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine.
Following graduation Ken and Glenda moved to Phoenix where he began practicing. After two years in Arizona they moved back to Nampa where he began building a practice that he would run for more than 45 years. He loved his work as well as his clients, and continued to practice as long as he was physically able. During these years when he did take time off work he would love to fish. He took many trips to fish for salmon in Washington and Alaska, and enjoyed fishing at home in Idaho for trout and bass as well.
Over the last few years since retiring he enjoyed spending his time between Nampa and San Diego in order to see family in both areas, and enjoy the California weather during the winter.
Ken is survived by his son Kurt Kalbfleisch, his wife Lisa and their children Kade and Kenadee of Lakeside California; his daughter Cindy Boster her husband Brent and their children Brad and Brie and 7 great grandchildren in Nampa Idaho and Germany. He was preceded in death by his wife Glenda and his sister Ruth Beymer as well as his brother Roger Kalbfleisch and sister Gwen Nettleton
