Jeffry Paul White, 67, formerly of Nampa, ID passed away Thursday, April 6 at Northwest Medical Center, Bentonville, AR of heart failure. He was born May 20, 1951 in Nampa, ID to Donald and Jeanne Rivett White.
Jeff was a graduate of Bishop Kelly High School in Boise and played on the high school’s baseball and football teams. In his junior year he was awarded a Presidential Scholarship. The award was given at the White House by then president Lyndon B. Johnson. Jeff’s picture still hangs in the main hall at Bishop Kelly. Following his high school graduation he attended Gonzaga University in Seattle, WA.
He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by two sisters, Cynthia Teague of Belle Vista, AK and Laura Blickenstaff of Cascade, ID plus numerous nieces and nephews. Jeff never married but was loved by his family and a favorite of the children. He especially loved Christmas when his size and white beard caught the attention of hopeful children who sometimes thought he might be Santa Claus.
Graveside services will be at 11AM on June 11 at Mt. Cavalry Cemetery—corner of So. Powerline Road and Greenhurst Avenue—in Nampa, ID.
