Welcome to the memorial page for

Joyce Estelle (Stockton) Troyer

May 11, 1957 ~ October 14, 2017 (age 60) 60 Years Old

Joyce Estelle Troyer, age 60 of Nampa, went to be with her Lord Saturday, October 14, 2017, surrounded by her family.

Joyce was born in Starbuck, WA on May 11,1957 to William and Carol Stockton. She was the 3rd of six children. Her growing up years were spent moving between Idaho and California while her dad was a pastor. In 1969, her family settled in Nampa where she attended Nampa Christian. While at Nampa Christian she met Jerry Troyer. They fell in love and were married a year after graduating high school on July 15, 1977. They moved north of Nampa where Jerry was a fertilizer applicator, and Joyce worked at First Security Bank.

Jerry and Joyce were blessed with 2 children; a son, Peter, and a daughter, Rebecca. Joyce continued working a few years after having children until 1992 when she started her own wood working business, I WOOD 4 U. Her business and her kids kept her very busy. She never missed a sporting or musical event of either of her kids even if it meant she worked tirelessly into the night to meet a deadline. She was devoted in all that she did whether it was her business, running the school auction and concession stand, or making her house into a home where all felt comfortable. She was a second mom to many of her kids friends. She always had love to give to those around her. From 2000-2007, Joyce held a position at Pioneer Title and worked in both the Nampa and Boise branches. In 2009, she was given the best title of all, Gammy. Her world was consumed with her two grandkids, Malakai and Taylee. She would drop anything and everything to spend time with or care for them, from sorting Legos to reading books to spontaneous little adventures. They were her greatest joy. She spent her life being a devoted wife, mother, and gammy.

Joyce was a giver. She loved blessing people any way she could through prayer, meals, encouragement, or any means necessary. She loved spending time in her garden planting flowers, crafting, tending her chickens, woodworking, and spending time with her family and friends. Above all, Joyce loved the Lord. Her Bible is filled with underlined verses and jotted notes. If anyone needed a verse of encouragement, she had one to give. Her faith and trust in the Lord was unlike any other. She was a member of the Lakeview Bible Church in Nampa.

Joyce is survived by her husband Jerry; one son, Peter Troyer of Nampa; one daughter, Rebecca (husband Matt) of Caldwell; four sisters, Janine Lowry (husband Ernie) of Nampa, Miriam Bryant (husband Bill) of Meridian; Marilou Stockton of Boise; Beth Earnest (husband Scott) of Nampa; one brother, Bill Stockton of Forest Grove, OR; two grandchildren, Malakai and Taylee Richardson, and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her father, William Stockton; her mother, Carol Stockton; and one nephew, Tabor Earnest.
