Leone Duncan Branstetter, beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother and sister left for Heaven on October 19, 2019, she was 93.
Leone was the first born to Wallace and Florence Duncan, on September 26, 1926 in Beresford, South Dakota. The family moved to Nampa in 1936. She graduated from Northwest Nazarene Academy in 1943. The next 2 years she spent at Northwest Nazarene College, and then transferred to Nampa Business College earning a Secretarial Certificate. She primarily worked in insurance underwriting for Grange Mutual Life and Empire Life Insurance Co. Leone’s first job was with the Mangum Clinic in Nampa.
After retiring, she enjoyed traveling the United States, Canada, Ireland, Scotland, and England
Leone was blessed with three daughters. Joanne, Marilyn and Noella.
She loved music, and piano playing was her GOD given talent, which she shared with Grace Notes Choir, Cramer Sisters Trio, Church and retirement facilities.
She was an avid reader and volunteered for NNU, Brandt Center and Nampa Civic Center.
Leone is survived by daughters Marilyn (Mike) Coleman, Noella (Tony) Burkhart, granddaughter Dana Osborne, grandson Sean (Ashley) Osborne, great-granddaughter Emilia Osborne, sister Darlyne (Bruce) Markus, and many nieces and nephews
She is preceded in death by her parents, two siblings, and oldest daughter Joanne.
Services to be held at Nampa Funeral Home Yraguen Chapel, 415 12th Avenue South, Nampa, Idaho, on Friday, October 25, 2019 at 11:00 am. A private burial will precede the service at the Hillcrest Memorial Gardens Caldwell.
The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the Nampa Care House Food Bank, c/o Nampa First Church of the Nazarene, 601 16th Ave South Nampa, Idaho 83651.
