October 3, 1923 ~ October 21, 2017 (age 94) 94 Years Old

Lillian Nadine (Beazley) Joffer

October 3, 1923 - October 21, 2017

Lillian N. Joffer went home to be with the Lord and Savior on October 21st at the age of 94 at her home in Nampa, Idaho. She was born in Long Beach, California to Raymond and Beatrice (Boyd) Beazley. She had a late younger brother, Laurence, and survived by a younger sister, Georgiella. During her childhood, she survived many hardships. She lost both her parents at a young age and went through the Great Depression. She kept her great spirit and love of the Lord through all of it. She worked as a waitress in Los Angeles where she spilled a glass of water on Bob Hope and he comically responded about being baptized again. Lillian met her devoted husband, Peter, on a street car in Los Angeles, CA in 1942. She was heading to Biola University and he was on a pass from the Army. Peter had to vie for her attention against his cousin where he reigned supreme. While courting, Peter and Lillian corresponded by mail while Peter was in European Theater in World War II (and Lillian even sent Peter's mother flowers to impress her) until they eloped on December 31, 1945 in Yuma, Arizona and eventually moved to Los Angeles to start a family. Lillian worked for the Los Angeles School District as a special needs assistant. She also loved to help with the vacation Bible School children and taught Sunday School. Lillian excelled at coordinating special events for the school and church. She fancied doing jigsaw and crossword puzzles. Lillian savored the times the youth group children would come over and play games. She would always put others first above anything else (especially her kids over house work). She took pleasure in every bite of food she took (especially popcorn and Golden Corral). Peter and Lillian moved to Idaho in 2005 to be with their two children and their families: Raymond and Faith then Diana moved shortly after with her family. In Idaho, Peter and Lillian enjoyed retirement by spending time with their ever-expanding family and church.

Lillian is survived by her husband, Peter; their three children: Diana, Raymond and Faith. Diana and her husband, John, have three children: Robert, Daniel and Clint. Raymond and his wife, Brenda, have three children: Wendy, Jared and Holly. Wendy and her husband, Matthew, have three children: Katherine, Luke and Mahalah. Jared and his wife, Whitney, have one daughter: Remilynn. Faith and her late husband, Scott, have four children: Tiffany, Gregory, Timothy and Christy. Tiffany and her husband, Chauncey, have eight children: Elijah, Andrew, Gideon, Keziah, Caleb, Job, Josiah and Jemimah. Gregory and his wife, Mica, have two children: Landon and Hazel. Timothy and his wife, Marianne, have two children (and are expecting a third): Wyatt and Bennett.

Lillian had a deep love for the Lord and for life. She loved to be around people and be a part of the conversation. She cherished anytime she could get with people. In the last few months, she was in and out of the hospital and the staff would say she was such a great joy to have and they would go into her room to be uplifted. Her zestful personality would lighten anyone's day including her much appreciated caregivers: Cassidy and Fontanna.

The family will greet friends at the New Hope Baptist Church, 1829 W. Iowa Ave. in Nampa for a time viewing and visitation on Thursday, October 26th from 5-7 PM.
