Patricia Berry McGinnis

Patricia Berry McGinnis, 87, of Nampa, died Wednesday, September 20, 2017 at a Nampa care facility. She was born on April 19, 1930 in Jamestown, North Dakota to James and Louise Seabold Berry the first of two children. She was raised and educated in North Dakota graduating from Jamestown College. She met and married James McGinnis and they were married for 53 years prior to his death in 2006.

Patricia worked in the public School system in California as a librarian for many years until 1977 when they moved to Idaho. She was an active member of PEO International, Mercy Hospital and enjoyed her bridge groups and book clubs. She and her husband also enjoyed the Sun Valley Jazz Festival on many occasions. Patricia was also a very active member of the Grace Episcopal Church in Nampa.

Patricia was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Jim, and a son, Jim.

She is survived by her sons, Patrick and Kevin; a grandson, Sean; great grandchildren, James and Audry; a brother Jim; and two sisters in life, Mardi and Jen.

The family wishes to thank the people of Meadowview Nursing and Rehab and Horizon Home Health whose care and compassion can not be measured. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Grace Episcopal Church Endowment or to Pet Haven.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, September 27, 2017 at the Grace Episcopal Church in Nampa. Arrangements are under the direction of the Nampa Funeral Home, Yraguen Chapel where an online guest book is available at www.nampafuneralhome
