Aileen Lucille Hayes, 89, of Nampa, passed away peacefully at Meridian with her daughter and granddaughter by her side. Most of her family had been with her in her last few days.

Aileen was born March 19, 1923 in Los Angeles, CA to Alfred and Mathilde (Stroebel) Loop. She was raised in Hawthorne, CA and graduated from Leuzinger High School. In September 1943 she gave birth to her daughter Cheryl. On March 15, 1947, she married John Hayes in Los Angeles. They resided in Hawthorne until 1973 when John and Aileen moved to Nampa to be near Cheryl and her family.

She will always be remembered as the best "pie maker." She was a great cook, baker, canner..always had frozen cookies for the kids and canned fruits.

She loved to play cards, scrabble and word search. Fishing, camping & hunting were enjoyed with Johnny and family. They also had a great hand at gardening & roses. Kitties were always a part of her life as well as doggies.

Aileen is survived by her daughter Cheryl Wear of Nampa; Her Grandchildren: Kevin Wear of Fairfield, ID, Kim (Dave) Dickson of Meridian, ID, Kris (Allison Stevens)Wear of Nampa, ID; Great Grandchildren: Kayleigh (JD) Simmons of Nampa, ID, Erin (Trevor) Jensen of Meridian, ID, Toni Anne Wear of Fairfield, ID and MaKenzie Tiegs of Nampa, ID; Great Great Grandchildren: Gabby and Gracee Simmons of Nampa, ID, the twins Jayden and Jaxson Jensen of Meridian, ID; nieces: Janice (Vaughn) Williams and Shelley (Ron) Johnston, both of CA; and her kitty, Puddy of Nampa.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 52 years John; her sister, Eleanor Garcia; stepson Bill Hayes, and her many dogs and kitties.

A celebration of Aileens life will be held at 6:30 P.M. Wednesday, July 25, 2012 at the Nampa Funeral Home, Yraguen Chapel, 415 12th Ave. S, Nampa. A graveside service will be held onAugust 10, 2012 at Inglewood Park Cemetery and she will be "DOWN HOME". Memorials may be made to the Pet Haven, 333 W.
