Alvin Hunsperger Obituary Alvin Wayne Hunsperger "Al", 95, of Caldwell passed away June 19, 2024. He was born September 1, 1928, in Bowmont, Idaho to James and Alice Hunsperger. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Shirley and son Michael, his brothers Delmar, Jesse, Sydney, Henry, Leroy, and sister Dorothy. Al is survived by his brother Ted and wife Gaye, son Robert and wife Susan, daughter Anita, two granddaughters, eight great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. He was a wonderful father, husband and had many friends. Al worked as a water well driller and a hard rock underground miner. He loved fishing, hunting and spending time with his family and friends. Al enlisted in the U S NAVY in 1946 and served on the island of Guam until 1948. After returning to Idaho, Al and his wife spent lots of time taking drives and talking about "good ole days" and spending lots of time at the Melba Sr Center reminiscing with old friends and making new ones. Graveside service will be at 10:00 AM Monday July 1, 2024, in Melba Cemetery where he will be placed by his wife and son.
