Antone Chacartegui Obituary Antone Joseph Chacartegui, 81 of Nampa passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 13, 2024. Antone was born on April 29, 1942, in Boise, Idaho to Antone and Fotula Chacartegui. He was raised in Nampa, Idaho on the family farm with his siblings Frances, Jim, and Julianne. It was throughout his upbringing on the farm where developed his strong work ethic. Antone graduated from Nampa High School in 1960 and attended University of Idaho. In 1962 he met the love of his life, Sharon Wilkerson, and they married in 1963. Antone and Sharon lived their 60 years of marriage in Nampa where they raised their 2 daughters Christy and Suzanne. Antone enjoyed life to the fullest including spending weekends camping, snowmobiling, BSU football, riding his fat boy Harley and traveling with friends and family. Antone began his career in sales at Owens Corning Fiberglass as a Regional Sales Representative until he was offered a Sales Manager position with G and B Concrete where he worked for many years. Through the many relationships he developed in the industry he was then offered the General Manager position at Treasure Valley Concrete where he spent much of his career. Antone finished his 40-year career in the concrete and construction industry at Idaho Concrete Company. In his retirement years Antone enjoyed traveling to Mexico, spending time at the cabin in McCall, fishing and four wheeling with his cronies, and spoiling his grandkids who were his pride and joy. Antone was one of a kind always bringing his bigger than life personality to the party, and everyone reading this has their own special Antone story to tell. Antone is survived by his wife Sharon, daughters Christy Chacartegui, Suzanne Chacartegui (Bill), (4) grandchildren, Amaia Nichols, Petyon Nichols, Matea Olson, and Annalee Olson; his sisters, Frances Uberuaga and Julie Ann (Patxi) Lostra. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother. The family would like to extend special gratitude to Marria Torres Malua who was a loving care companion to Antone, to all the staff members at Harbor Assisted Living and Keystone Hospice for their compassionate care. A funeral mass will be held on Monday, March 4 th , St. Johns Cathedral, 807 8 th St, Boise 2:00 p.m. followed by an Antone approved celebration of life at the Basque Center, 601 Grove St, Boise.
