Ardith Maier Obituary Ardith Louise Maier, 98, of Nampa, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Good Friday March 30, 2018 at 10:20 a.m. at Nampa St. Lukes hospital surrounded by her loving family. Ardith was born on March 12, 1920 in Boise, Idaho to Maude and Archie Roberts. She attended Cole Elementary School in Boise where she enjoyed playing softball and hitting it out of the park. She graduated from Boise High School in 1938. Just out of high school she would at the Idaho State Capitol as well as attending Boise Bible College. While attending Bible College Ardith met the love of her life Victor Maier who was studying for the ministry at the Bible College. Ardith and Victor were married on October 15th, 1939 in a double wedding ceremony with Victors brother and his bride. Traveling in their new Pontiac the Worlds Fair in San Francisco, California was their honeymoon destination. Ardith and Victor were blessed with 5 daughters. Ardith was a Godly woman given to prayer, reading the Bible and serving. She was respected and kind. As a pastors wife, there were many guests in the home and countless meals to be prepared. Then the church services and functions to attend plus making sure her daughters had clean and pressed clothes which were mostly sewn by her. She was truly a Proverbs 31 woman. Ardith is survived by her 4 daughters, Judy Carpenter, Sharon (Dan) McMasters, Jan King and Sue (Rick) Reneau; 13 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren, and 2 great, great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband of 75 years, Victor, daughter Joanna Hooley and son in laws George Hooley, Vern Carpenter and Ed King. Also siblings Lorin Roberts and Viola Ellis. Ardith was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and faithful servant of God. A memorial service will be held in Ardiths honor at the College Church of the Nazarene, 504 W. Dewey Ave. in Nampa at 2:00 p.m. on Friday April 6, 2018. Services are under the direction of the Nampa Funeral Home, Yraguen Chapel, 415 12th Ave. So. 208-442-8171.
