Arlen Bergland Obituary Arlen Elwood Bergland, 92, of Nampa ID, passed away on April 20th at Grace Memory Care in Caldwell, ID. Born September 18, 1931 in Aurora, Illinois, he was the son of Gilman and Gladys Bergland. In 1952 his family moved to Cheyenne WY, where he married Lail (Brownlee) Bergland on June 20, 1954. They enjoyed 68 years together, raising their 4 children in Longmont CO and moved to Nampa in 2000. He was a highly energetic dad, husband, grandfather, great, great-great grandfather and friend. He enjoyed traveling, camping, motorcycling, snowmobiling and spending time with family. He loved meeting people, helping people, serving people, fixing things. He worked for IBM in Niwot CO as an expediter. Upon retirement Arlen and Lail spent several months every year traveling throughout the United States in their RV. Arlens Christian faith was an essential part of his life, he played the piano and organ for Longmont Church of the Nazarene, sharing the love of God with everyone he met. Survivors include sister Mardell (Tom) Kisling of Redding CA; daughter Barbara (Brad) Nash of Nampa; sons, Richard (Jennifer) Bergland of Yukon OK; Don (Trudi) Bergland of Nampa; Ed (Mandy) Bergland of Nampa, 11 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren, and 4 great-great grandchildren. Arlen was preceded in death by his wife,Lail in 2021,sister, Sherrill (Troy) Harris and brother, Gordon (Faye) Bergland. Friends are invited to Arlens Celebration of Life Service on Thursday, May 9th at 10:00 AM at Canyon Hill Church of the Nazarene, 903 N. Michigan Ave, Caldwell, ID.
