IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Arlene M
Anderson
July 8, 1921 – February 3, 2011
Arlene M. Anderson "Pete" died on February 3rd, 2011 at the age of 89. She was born in Madison, WI on July 8th, 1921 to Angie and Walter Peterson, who preceded her in death, along with her sister Delores (Peterson) Kennedy. She lived in Madison most of her life and married Richard Anderson "Dick" on December 13th, 1952. They were happily married for 56 years, until his death in 2009. She was the proud mother of their son Jeffrey Anderson, daughter-in-law Jill, and grandmother of two dearly loved granddaughters, Sara and Trisha. Pete graduated from Madison East High School in 1940 and worked at Oscar Mayer, and later became a hair dresser. Her true calling, though, was to be a dedicated stay at home Mom for their son Jeff. She enjoyed homemaking, especially knitting, cooking, and baking. Pete had a witty sense of humor. She loved playing cards with Dick and friends, solving her crosswords, and reading her bible. She was deeply loved by those who knew her. Dick and Arlene moved to Meridian in 2007 to be closer to their family. She is survived by those mentioned above, as well as son-in-law Andy Mockli, Trishas boy friend Jeff McGough, sister-in-law Dorothy Brassington, and many nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank the exemplary staff of Alpine Meadows for their love, and compassionate care, especially Dollie & Kent Wallace, and Jan Brewer RN, who considered Pete to be family. The family also expresses deep gratitude to Kimberly Cathcart RN, and all other staff from Legacy Hospice, Aspen Transitional Rehab, and Spring Creek Manor for filling her last months with loving care. The family has established a scholarship for Respiratory Care students to honor Dick and Pete, and requests that memorials be directed in memory of Arlene Anderson to: BSU Foundation 2225 University Drive, Boise, ID, 83706.
