Arturo Lechuga Obituary It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Arturo Lechuga Sr., born on February 11, 1961, to Adolfo Lechuga and Enedelia Rodriguez in San Juan, Texas. Arturo passed away on January 18, 2025 at his residence in Nampa, Idaho.
Arturo's greatest joy in life was his family. He was a devoted partner to Sylvia Reyes, the love of his life. They had met and dated briefly in high school prior to Arturo moving to Michigan in the early 80s. Nearly 40 years later, Arturo settled down in the Treasure Valley and reconnected with Sylvia through social media. They began dating in 2012 and immediately began building a life together full of love and adventure, taking in every joyous moment they could. They enjoyed taking scenic drives just to grab a burger in Homedale, or zipping over to Ontario to play the slots and grab some menudo at the Red Apple Marketplace.
Arturo & Sylvia expanded their family in 2022 with the addition of Charlie, their beloved Maltese/Terrier puppy. Arturo loved walking Charlie around the neighborhood, showing him off to passersby and taking him on rides to the store. They had a special bond, and Arturos love for animals was just one example of his caring nature, always showing affection and loyalty to those he loved.
Arturos kindness and generosity were unmatched. He was known for helping others without hesitation. If he saw a neighbor in needwhether it was yard work or simply lending a handhe would rush to offer assistance, no questions asked.
Throughout his life, Arturo tried his hand at different professions including mechanics and car sales before finding his niche in building construction. His knowledge of various trades took him to Illinois, Colorado, and Utah for numerous jobs, but he always found himself coming back home to Idaho. Arturo most recently worked at Lippert Components in Nampa, ID. He was greatly admired by his coworkers and consistently exceeded production requirements on the swing shift crew. His performance caught the attention of his superiors and was being considered for the day shift to help improve their production levels. His strong work ethic left an impression on everyone around him.
Arturo was an avid poker player and could always be found on his phone playing House of Fun. He took pride in his lawn and was very meticulous with landscaping and maintenance which made his neighbors envious.
He leaves behind a legacy of love and care through his children: Arturo Lechuga Jr. (Teresa, grandchildren Mya, Julia, and Isabella), Anita Huss (grandchildren Rosa, Esperanza, and Jazalyne), Dominique Lechuga, Casey Lechuga, Celina Miller (grandchildren Cody, Gabriel, and Angel), India Lechuga (granddaughter Aymarie), Ricky Lechuga, and Ayla Steele. Arturo also cherished his bonus daughters, Yvette Valle (Andres and Ava), and Hilda Valle (JaelahBri). Arturo is survived by his siblings: Jesse Rivera, Albert Aguirre, Sylvia Lillibridge, Cindy McCoy, and Annie Requejo. He was a loving uncle, cousin, and friend to many, and he will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
