Barbara Jean King was born February 6, 1923 in Yakima Washington to Earl Norris and Merville Burkman Norris. Barbara passed away on December 25th, 2014 in Nampa, Idaho. Barbara spent all of her last days at home being cared for by her loving son Marshall King. Barbara had been provided care by St. Alphonsus and passed away there at the hospital.
Barbara is survived by her son Marshall King of Nampa; Daughter Kristi Watt of Longmont Colorado; granddaughters Tonia Wilder, Ranee Nicholson, Kalie Stokes, Karrie Funk and Kyra Coates; Great grandchildren Kailyn, Jacob, Joshua, Joseph, Emma, Samantha, Abby, Charolotte, Celeste and Josefina.
She was preceded in death by her husband Clyde King, May 13th, 2004, Lewiston Idaho.
Barbara was a high fashion model for the Bon Marche in Seattle Washington in 1941. She was a volunteer for the US Military transporting Officers throughout the Seattle area. She married in 1942 to Clyde King and became a homemaker. They then moved to California where she worked part time with a travel agency. She loved painting watercolors and ceramics, hosting parties and world travel. She also was a avid golfer, swimmer, ocean sailer and loved to shop.
