Barbara Weaver Obituary Barbara Jean Weaver, 75, of Nampa, Idaho passed away Tuesday, July 23, 2024 at St. Lukes Hospital, Nampa, surrounded by her family.
Barbara was born to Felix and Olive Anderson in Bentonville, Arkansas on May 9, 1949. She was the 5th of 9 siblings. A farming family, they moved where the work took them until settling in Notus, Idaho where Barbara graduated high school in 1967.
Barbara met the love of her life Gene Weaver, a Nampa farmer at the time, while working at the old Mercy hospital. They were married April 12, 1969. Barbara and Gene had two children Cheryl and Robert. While raising the kids Barbara worked retail at JC Penny and helped set up the Emporium. She then went to work for First Security Bank, Intermountain Community Bank, and retired from Columbia Bank in 2011.
Mom had a warm and an infectious smile. She really enjoyed her customers and would bring home numerous jokes they shared with her. She was a passionate reader and Hallmark movie watcher. She loved doing crosswords, jigsaw puzzles, gardening and sewing numerous little outfits for her grandchildren. Mom and dad loved camping with their little dog Mattie. They enjoyed numerous trips to Arizona to visit her family.
Barbara is survived by her husband Gene, two children Cheryl (Charles) Schmidt, Robert Weaver, eleven grandkids, four great-grandkids, numerous aunts, uncles, cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Forest, brother-in-laws Forest Weaver and Glen Riley and sister-in-law Virgilene Riley.
