Beatrice 'Beada' Jaca Obituary Beatrice "Beada" Mary Jaca , 96 of Jordan Valley Oregon passed away peacefully September 27, 2024 leaving behind a legacy of love, kindness and service.
She was born on August 2, 1928 in Jordan Valley to Joe and Benita (Chertudi) Yturraspe. She joined her two sisters Delphina and Dora. The three sisters were close in age and fostered a strong bond. Their mother moved to The Dallas Oregon for TB treatment in their early years. Members of the Yturraspe and Chertudi families stepped forward to help care for the three young girls in their mothers absence. The seed for caring for others was planted and the strong Basque work ethic prevailed for a lifetime.
Beada attended Jordan Valley Elementary and High School. After finishing high school she married Felix "Phil" Jaca October 13, 1946 at St. Johns Cathedral in Boise, Idaho. Throughout their 52-year marriage Phil and Beada lived in Jordan Valley operating the Jaca Brothers Ranch where their three children (John, Benita & Tom) were raised.
She was a lifelong member of St. Bernards Church serving in the altar society, parish council and as sacristan of the church. She was also active in school parent organizations and served on the Malheur County Elections Committee. Phil & Beada were active members of the local Lions Club. Being of service to the local community was very important to them.
Beada is survived by son John (Sherry), daughter Benita, son Tom (Dee), eight grandchildren, and sixteen great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband Phil; parents Joe and Benita; granddaughter Tami; infant grandson, infant daughter Phyllis and sisters & spouses; Delphina Staples (Dick) & Dora Collins (Bud).
The family extends heartfelt gratitude to the care staff and administration of CornerStone Senior Living for the exceptional loving care given throughout the years Beada was a resident. We also express our sincere appreciation to Keystone Hospice for their compassionate care.
