Betty Jane Hathaway Grandstaff

Betty Jane Hathaway Grandstaff, 82, of Caldwell, Idaho and formerly of Yakima, Washington passed away at home with family at her side on Tuesday, June 29, 2010 from natural causes. Betty was born on June 7, 1928 in Merkle, Texas. She graduated from Davis High School in Yakima, Washington She also graduated from Central Washington State College with a BA degree in Eduacation.

She was preceded in death by her eldest son, Dale Grandstaff and her eldest daughter, Charlotte "Grandstaff" Foster.

She was a devoted wife and mother. Betty is survived by her husband, Richard Grandstaff; son Darrel Grandstaff and wife Jackie; two daughters, Charlene "Grandstaff" Lykes and husband Marion and Cynthia "Grandstaff" Geertson and husband Kenneth; 11 grandchildren; and 10 great grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Friday, July 2, 2010 at Calvary Chapel Yakima Valley, 1021 S. 40th Ave., Yakima with burial to follow in the Lower Valley Memorial Garden in Sunnyside. Services are under the direction of the Nampa Funeral Home, Yraguen Chapel.
