Betty was born June 22, 1931, at home in Indian Valley, Idaho to Ralph and Jennie Gray Godlove. After many fun years on the farm in Indian Valley, the family moved to Stibnite, Idaho when she was 10. In 1946 she went to stay with her Grama Gray in Indian Valley to finish her last two years of high school. She learned to operate the telephone board that her grama ran in her home. After high school she joined her sister Donna in Boise and went to work for First Security as their telephone operator.
She married Norm Hoelzle in 1949. Her two daughters Karen and Jeanette were born to this union (they later divorced). She married Jack Printz on October 22, 1963. They were married one day shy of 50 years.
She was an avid bowler, pinochle player, a member of the Lady Elks, Nampa Tops and Nampa First Christian Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Jack, daughter and son in law Jeanette and Darrell Laeger, and her sister Donna.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Karen Hoelzle Moore and Mike Moore. Her brother Leroy (Nancy), 6 grandchildren: Russ (Carolyn), Melanie (Shawn), Jamie (Matt), Jennifer, Donovan (Season) and Nicole, 11 great grandchildren and many extended family and great friends.
Karen and Mike would like to thank Horizon Health and Shirley for all their help over the last few months. If you wish to honor Betty, please make any donations to either the Nampa Elks Lodge or The Nampa First Christian Church.
