Betty Laurene (Humm) Putzier, 91 of Nampa, ID passed away from natural causes on January 26, 2013. She was born on November 28, 1921 in Guide Rock, NE to Fred and Helen Humm. At the age of 17 her family moved out of the Dust Bowl to the Hansen area of ID. She graduated from Hansen High School, Valedictorian of the Class of 1939. She went on to business school and a career working at Twin Falls Bank and Trust. She started as a teller and eventually retired from banking as an Escrow Officer. She married her husband Carl W. Putzier on March 5, 1944 and settled in Twin Falls, ID. They had a long and loving marriage that yielded four children, ten grandchildren, and seven great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Carl, son John, and grandson PJ. She is survived by her remaining three children (Sandra Stansell, Robert Putzier, and Fred Putzier), her grandchildren, and her great grandchildren. Funeral Services are planned for 10 A.M. Friday, February 1, 2013at Zion Lutheran Church in Nampa, ID. Internment will follow at 3:00 pm at Twin Falls Cemetery in Twin Falls, ID. Services are under the direction of the Nampa Funeral Home, Yraguen Chapel. Memorials may be made to the Lutheran Laymen's League or the American Cancer Society.
