Betty A. Williams passed peacefully on February 1st, 2026, into the loving arms of her personal Lord and Savior, a faith that guided her life and that was shared with everyone she met. Betty was born the second of four children on June 6th, 1959, to William and Peggy Churchman in Kennewick, Washington. She graduated from Columbia High School in Burbank, Washington and got her certification as a teachers aid from Boise State University in Boise, Idaho. She had worked for the Nampa School District as a Special Education Paraprofessional during her lifetime.
On February 24th, 1979, she married Harold D. Williams Jr at her family home. They made their home in Caldwell, Idaho and had three children, John Curtis, Jeffrey, and Deborah. She shared 47 years of marriage with Harold, during which time they were also blessed with 4 grandchildren, Kylie, Kellen, Kamden, and Kaiden. Betty found absolute joy in spending time with her grandchildren.
Betty was very active in church for most of her life and belonged to the Catholic Daughters of America (CDA). She participated in bowling leagues for many years, she was a lifelong member of the Girls Scouts, volunteered with the Boy Scouts and was a part of the daughters of the American Revolution. She enjoyed being active in her community and in the great outdoors and wilderness. One of her favorite past times was going to Idaho City with family on camping/fishing trips and taking in all of God's creation and scenery. No matter what she was doing indoors or outdoors, if she was surrounded by friends and family her heart was at its most content.
She leaves behind her husband Harold, her children Jeffrey, Deborah (Nick Jr), her four grandchildren. She is greeted into heaven by her mother Peggy, father Wiliam, brothers Steven, Robert, sister Connie, and her son John Curtis.
After a long battle with skin cancer, we know the Lord welcomed home a faithful and valiant servant. Betty will be greatly missed by her friends and family who took comfort in this scripture: "But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint." Isaiah 40:31 (KJV)
