Bob Lowery Obituary Bob Lowery, a devoted father, grandfather, uncle, coach, umpire, and friend passed away on July 26, 2024, at the age of 72 in Meridian Idaho, surrounded by his loving family.
Bob Lowery was born in Worland, Wyoming on March 27, 1952, to John Frederrick Lowery and Edith Marie McFarren. The family moved to Montana where Bob spent his childhood, then moved to Boise and he graduated from Boise High School in 1970. Before even graduating high school Bob started his first job that he would retire from 47 years later at St. Alphonsus Hospital in Boise Idaho. Bob worked in the food services portion of the hospital making lifelong friendships such as his dear friend Josh. Bob worked his way up to the line lead position in the kitchen and held that position for years. At Bobs request he was moved back into the dish room, so he no longer had to deal with so many people. Bobs retirement was celebrated in 2015 after nearly 5 decades of dedicated service.
Bob married Tina Holt in 1996 and they had 4 children, Chelsea, William, Matthew, and Braeden. Bobs children were the lights of his life, that is until he discovered grandchildren! Bob has 8 grandchildren that he adored and loved spending time with. You could often find Bob with at least 2 or 3 of his grandchildren decorating for the next holiday. Bob was born to be a family man, nurturing and loving came natural to him.
After retiring in 2015 Bob and another dear friend of his, Kenny, purchased a camper and enjoyed the project of rebuilding it. When it was finished, they got it out on the river and spent many days fishing, camping, and sharing stories. Bob had many other hobbies as well; he was an avid bowler and poker player. Bob loved spending Friday nights at the Kuna High School football games. He decorated for ALL of the holidays, but his favorite thing was always spending time with his family.
Bob is survived by his children Chelsea (Adam) Hoag of Kuna, Will (Amy) Lowery of Nampa, Matthew Lowery of Kuna, and Braeden Lowery of Meridian, his grandchildren Roxanne, Leigha, AJ, Landon, Jesse, Nolan, Forrest, and Hazel, his sisters Koleen, Juanita, Evelina, and brothers James (JD), Wayne and Reed and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins that he loved. He is preceded in death by his twin brother Bill, his brother Eddy Dean, and sister Roxie Ann, and his parents John and Edith.
