Bud Painter, 84, passed away peacefully Thursday, June 20, 2013 surrounded by his loving family. Surviving family includes Jean, his wife of 43 years; children Pam (Keith) Cox; Rex (Sue) Painter; Peggy Day; and Sharon (Bob) Gourley and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren, as well as many nieces and nephews. He is also survived by 3 siblings, Dick, Dan, Bonnie and their families; as well as in-laws Jerry, Joan, Joyce and their families. Bud served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He owned and operated Gem State Trucking Company, farmed and enjoyed attending auctions, as well as fishing, hunting, and being outdoors. He was loved by many and will be greatly missed. Memorial services (casual attire) will be held at 3:00 P.M. Wednesday, June 26, 2013 at the Nampa Funeral Home, Yraguen Chapel, 415 12th Ave. S., Nampa Idaho 83651. Officiating will be Buds grandson, Pastor Joseph Painter and Chaplain Jim Schmidt. Private burial will be in the Idaho State Veterans Cemetery, Boise.
