On Oct 7 2010 angels rejoiced when Carla Jean Ferguison entered the gates of Heaven. She was born and raised in Idaho to Carl and Maxine Steinbach and was the oldest of 5 children. Mom met the love of her life Farrell in junior high and married him in 1957. They raised four children, Carma, Tom, Cheryl, Marcy and two nieces, Celynn & Delynn in Boise. She was loved by 12 grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

Mom drove truck with Dad for nearly 30 years and was one of the first women truck drivers in the Treasure Valley. Her greatest love was her children, their spouses, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Mom thought any day fishing with the boys was a great day whether she caught anything or not. Often she just enjoyed spending time at the cabin surrounded by family and friends sitting by the fire with her cup of coffee. To some she was known as "Happy Hour" to family she was known as "Grams". Carla loved to bowl, work in her yard and cruise around town in her red corvette. Mom was devoted to her new Faith in the Lord and was growing as a Christian daily. She loved her church family at Christian Faith Center.

Our Mom is leaving such a void in our family because of who she was and what she taught us: Work hard, pay your bills first, dont complain, take care of each other and laugh often. Her home was always filled with love, laughter and yummy sammies. When we were hurt she always told us, "its a long ways from our heart", but this time our hearts are broken. This is not goodbye Momma, but we will see you later on the other side. Thank you for all you taught us and loving us unconditionally. We love you more

A celebration of Moms life will be held at Christian Faith Center, 31 S. Midland, Nampa, on Tuesday October 12 at 1:00 pm. A private family graveside service will precede the services in the Dry Creek Cemetery, Boise. Services are under the direction of the Nampa Funeral Home, Yraguen Chapel
