Nampa resident Carol Koury, a retired employee of The Boeing Company, died May 13, 2015, losing her battle with cancer at age 67. She was active until the last day of her life, relishing in gardening, antiquing, shopping, and spoiling her dogs. She also enjoyed every Holiday to the fullest, loved decorating and entertaining extravagantly. She was born in Blue Earth, Minnesota in 1948 and raised in Orofino, Idaho with her three siblings, Charlotte Marshall, Roy Pomerinke, and Danny Pomerinke. Carol met her soul mate Fred Koury in February 1984 and they made a home together in Spanaway, Washington; going on Harley outings, traveling in their motor home, camping, and spending time with friends and family by their pool. Most recently, Fred and Carol moved to Nampa, Idaho to be closer to her sister. Carol was active in a 12 step program and proudly celebrated 31 years of sobriety. She has joined her son Ricky Lancaster and parents Chet & Lavern Pomerinke. Carol left behind a number of family members including her husband, three siblings, five children, thirteen Grand Children, nine Great Grand Children, and many nieces and nephews. Carol will be remembered as a strong, giving and generous lady always willing to help out someone in need. She will be greatly missed and loved by her family and friends. A viewing and visitation will be held on Sunday, May 17, 2015 from 1:00 to 3:00 P.M. followed by a memorial service to celebrate her life at 3:00 P.M. at the Nampa Funeral Home, Yraguen Chapel.
