Carolyn Allen Obituary Carolyn Ruth Allen born, October 21, 1936, to Gertie and George Dossett in Nampa, Idaho. She passed away on November 16, 2023. Carolyn was one of 9 children and remained close to her siblings and extended family throughout her life. She grew up in Nampa and moved to Los Angeles, attended college, and worked at a Liberty insurance company and lived with her sisters that lived there at the time. She met the love of her life, Ron Allen who was a friend of her brother George, when she came home to Nampa for a holiday vacation. They were married June 13, 1964. They followed Rons refrigeration service career and lived in Northern California, moved back to Nampa, Idaho, and then moved to Bend, Oregon for about 50 years. She had a strong faith and attended St. Francis of Assisi church in Bend, involved in Catholic Daughters, volunteered at St. Vincent thrift store and provided childcare at various church nurseries. She was active in her family life and raising her two children. She always made Birthdays and holidays fun! She made friends easily and was well loved by everyone that knew her. She returned to Nampa several years after her husband died to be close to her family. She continued her faith journey at St. Pauls Catholic church and was active in the Catholic Womens League. She has one surviving sibling, Lloyd Dossett. Siblings that preceded her in death are Bob Dossett, Evelyn Esterline, George Dossett, Jim Dossett, Danny Dossett, Dorothy Ernest and Laura Wallace. She is survived by her daughter Karen Prehn of Nampa, Idaho and her son Ron Allen of Portland, Oregon, grandchildren, great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews. Graveside service will be held Monday, November 27, 2023, at 11:00 am at the Lower Fairview Cemetery, 7860 West McMillan Rd. in Meridian. After her graveside service there will be a Celebration lunch/potluck at "The Belle Event Center" at 120 13th Ave. S., Nampa around 12:30 pm. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the St. Paul Food Bank. Arrangements by Nampa Funeral Home Yraguen Chapel.
