Charlotte Marie Wright (Huckaby) 71 of Nampa passed away at her residence with her family at her side Wednesday, November 2, 2011 after a long battle with cancer.

Charlotte was born to Lela and Euel Huckaby, April 6, 1940 in Washburn, Missouri. Shortly after Charlottes birth the family relocated to Nampa, Idaho where she resided for the remainder of her life.

She attended school at Lakeview and West Junior High. Thru the early 60s Charlotte was employed at various food packing facilities located in the Nampa area. 1965 thru 1970 she was employed as a care giver at the Idaho State School and Hospital located in Nampa. Charlotte often spoke of her fond memories and the love she had for the patiences of the hospital. While employed with the Idaho State School and Hospital she completed her nursing training. After Graduation of Nursing School in 1971 she accepted a position as a LPN with the Mercy Medical Center. During 1977 due to health issues she resigned her position with Mercy but continued to renew her nursing license until 1994 in the hopes she would be able to return to her practice.

Charlotte enjoyed craft work (family members have many items made by Charlotte proudly displayed in their homes), gardening and most of all, the company of her children. For the remainder of her life she devoted her time and love to her husband, children and grandchildren.

Charlotte made many sacrifices through her life for her children. The greatest gift our mother gave was her love and guidance in which we will forever cherish. We love you so very much and will miss you.

Charlotte is survived by her sister; Jean Hansen of Buhl, Brothers; Craig Swan and Kevin Swan of Nampa. Coy Swan of Melba; Sons; Steve (Gail) Roberts, Roland (Zandra) Wright, Gaylen (Debbie) Downs of Nampa, Beau of Pasco, Wash., daughters Rhonda Wright and Ranette Wright of Nampa. She was preceded in death by her Husband Earl Wright and Mother Lela Swan.

A celebration of her life will be held at 10:00 A.M. Saturday, Nov. 12, 2011 at the Nampa Funeral Home, Yraguen Chapel. Private burial will precede the services in the Kohlerlawn Cemetery, Nampa.

The Wright family would like to sincerely thank Hospice and Guardian Care in their help in providing comfort and support to Charlotte in final days and hours.
