Christina “Tina” Marie Huttash

August 31, 1961 — January 3, 2026

Nampa

Christina “Tina” was born on August 31, 1961, to Paul & Wanda (Brumfield) Jesenko. Tina passed from this earthly life to the loving arms of her savior Jesus Christ on January 3rd, 2026.

Tina was the 5th of the 7 Jesenko daughters. She cherished the farming and ranching life her parents provided. She remained a loyal John Deere lover to the end. The family worked hard and played hard together. Tina attended Homedale, Kuna & Melba schools. She was very active in student body council, played multiple sports, was a cheerleader, and homecoming queen.

After high school, Tina worked as a secretary at a real estate office but took classes and became one of the youngest realtors in the state of Idaho in 1980. She then went to work at the Idaho Dept of Health & Welfare. Her coworkers always stated she was a natural social worker and needed to get her degree. Which she did, all while actively raising her four children. She graduated from BSU in 2010, Summa Cum Laude. She was rightfully very proud of this accomplishment. She went on to work for St. Alphonsus hospital, then returned to Health & Welfare, and then the Russell Corporation. Tina loved nothing more than helping people in need.

Tina met the love of her life, Mike Huttash, & they built a good & solid life together the past 45 years. Their biggest accomplishment in life will always be the birth of their four loving & amazing children. Tina spent 15 years as a room mother and didn’t miss a game, school program, or church event unless she was attending one of the other kids’ events. Most of the family vacations were ball tournaments & music filled road trips.

She was so proud of the adults & parents her children have become, and then came the perfect, beautiful grandchildren. They brought Mike & Tina more joy & a purpose like they never could have imagined.

Tina was a life-long Catholic and was a 40-year member of St. Paul’s Catholic Women’s League, serving as VP and two years as President. She also served on the parish council, school board, and was involved in numerous fundraisers and activities for the church & school.

Tina loved to cook and care for others. She made people feel valued and appreciated. Tina always said, “if you left her house hungry, it was your own darn fault!” She loved having the house where all of her kid’s friends gathered after ball games—a house filled with warmth and laughter. Tina always had multiple snacks & goodies for everyone, earning her the name of “Mama Hutt” to many. Tina also loved all kinds of music, movies, watching BSU, Notre Dame and Gonzaga sports, and comfy blankets.

Tina was diagnosed with ovarian Cancer in March 2023 and fought every day until the end to spend more time with her family and loved ones.

Tina is survived by her best friend, Michael, and children Caloub (Maddie), Micah (Nicole), Jordan (Ryan Christesen), and Jessica (Chase) Christoffersen, along with a close family friend, Juan (Hannah) Colunga. Grandchildren: Bennett, Grace, & Jane Huttash, Sawyer & Sutton Huttash, and Christian, Campbell & Crawford Christoffersen, and Xavier, Andi, and Leo Colunga.

Her parents: Paul & Wanda Jesenko, and sisters: Vicky (Kelly) Kramer, Diana (Gerry) Nutt, Theresa (Jeff) Keeney, Yvonne (Blaine) Hulet, Susan (Jay) VanSchoiack, and Paulette (Bob) Bozeman. In-laws Larry (Sheila) Huttash, Judi (Don) Douglas, & Denise (Monty) Crabtree, along with numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, God children, and an unbreakable bond with niece April Tyson.

She was preceded in death by in-laws Pat & Evelyn Huttash, her grandparents: Tony & Carmen Jesenko, Maria Corta, Levi & Naomi Brumfield, Owen & Bertha Murray, & Pearl Winterfeld, nephews: Kole Keeney & Brandon Bozeman, and Aunt Marianne Grimes.

A Celebration of Life will be held after the service from 11am-2pm at Marist Hall next to St. Paul’s and the burial will follow at the Melba Cemetery at 3:30pm on Baseline Rd.
